Flagler’s Human Resources programs receive ‘Worksite Wellness Award’
Flagler College was one of 20 organizations in northeast Florida to recently receive a “Gold Award” for its wellness programs.
On May 10, the First Coast Worksite Wellness Council and title sponsor, Florida Blue, hosted the Ninth Annual Worksite Wellness Conference and Healthiest Companies Luncheon at the University of North Florida. Each year, the conference recognizes organizations that promote healthier habits and lifestyles among employees.
This past year’s wellness programs at the college included, among others, a health fair, “Health Equals Wealth” raffle and “Taste the Rainbow” and “Stop Stress This Minute” challenges.
“We have been participating in the award process for over five years and have won Silver twice and Gold for the last three years,” Tricia Rampata, director of Human Resources, said. “Our goal for next year is to achieve Platinum.”
