Flagler is now a member of the American Association of University Women
In honor of Women’s History Month, Flagler College has joined AAUW, the American Association of University Women, as a Campus/University member.
This membership brings with it access to the many resources of this organization that aims to bring gender equity to many facets of our society. Their programs range from leadership development to salary negotiation to the analysis of gender equity issues in education and the workplace.
The local St. Augustine Chapter offers two undergraduate student scholarships and the National Organization offers scholarships for student leadership training at the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders. They offer grants for gender equity and Campus Action projects. Their wealth of research is also available to us. All in all, this is a wonderful resource for both our students and our staff.
Flagler’s campus representatives are Dr. Judith Burdan and Professor Barbara Blonder. St Augustine branch's college scholarship information and application can be found here.
