Flagler announces Kahler Awards for Riggs, Young
Flagler College has announced that it has awarded two 2014 Kahler Awards for Teaching of the Liberal Arts.
A $5,000 award will be granted to associate professor of history Wayne Riggs for his project “A Wholesome Discipline: British Youth in the Established Churches during the Great War.” The award will be utilized to support research, writing and dissemination of the results of his project.
A $3,500 award will be given to assistant professor of history John D. Young to support the completion of his book, “Neighbors, Partners, Enemies: Jews and the Monasteries of Germany in the High Middle Ages.”
The Kahler fund allows full-time faculty to pursue advanced academic pursuits.
