In May of 1998, Doug Dvorak went through the toughest 30 days of his life: he was diagnosed with cancer, he got sober for the first time, and his father died tragically after falling out of a third floor window.

About the Magazine

Flagler College Magazine is published twice a year and sent to alumni, students, faculty and other members of the Flagler College community. It highlights the people, developments and accomplishments.

The magazine is produced by the college’s Public Information Office, and it has received awards and recognition from the Florida Public Relations Association, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and MarCom.

The new Crisp-Ellert Art Museum hosted Flagler’s first juried student art show this spring, giving students from all majors a chance to show off their talent, have their work judged by professionals and – in a few cases – make some money.
