College Relations & Special Events
Flagler College’s Office of College Relations is the institution’s link to the community. We work to connect the talents of our faculty, staff, and students with the needs of our city and county. In addition, we provide opportunities for the residents and businesses of Northeast Florida to access the wide range of facilities—both historic and new—that make up our stunning campus.
What We Do
The Office of College Relations is responsible for all College facility scheduling, including the coordination of our most versatile and in-demand spaces: Ponce de Leon Hall, Lewis Auditorium, Markland House, the Ringhaver Student Center, and the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum.
Our office provides planning and consultation for events ranging from summer camps to academic conferences and seminars.
We also coordinate:
- All community relations and opportunities for the College to engage with the city, the county, and the region.
- College cultural events, including the Flagler Forum and the Community Lecture Series.
- College fundraising events, including the legendary New Year’s Eve Ball and the beloved President’s Golf Classic.
- All institutional anniversaries and celebrations.
Who We Are
Laura Stevenson Dumas, Director
Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies from Rollins College. At Flagler College, she specializes in community relations and campus celebrations.
“I feel so lucky to work at Flagler College with such talented and dedicated students, staff, and faculty,” Laura said. “I love inviting the community onto our campus to join us as we discover our passions and explore the world around us. But my favorite part of my job is creating meaningful and impactful events that highlight the best of Flagler College: our heritage, our students, our alumni, and our faculty. And as a bonus, I get to work, live, and play in the best city – St. Augustine!”
Stephanie Snyder, Assistant Director
Stephanie is a graduate of Flagler College with Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management and Business. She coordinates the New Year’s Eve Gala, Forum on Government and Public Policy, summer camps, and conferences. She also enjoys working with the community when hosting events on the Flagler College campus.
“I truly enjoy working within the Flagler College community,” she said. “I am continuously encouraged to grow and learn, professionally and personally.”
Carl Liberatore, Events Technical Services Coordinator
Carl is a 2011 graduate of Flagler College with a degree in Theatre Arts. He specializes in Theatrical Production and Design, handling various theatrical events and audio visual work at the college.
“My colleagues and the many different opportunities that I am provided through my work have helped me to expand my knowledge both of my chosen field and of myself,” Carl said. “These opportunities are what make working at Flagler College so special to me. I love working here.”

Lauren Turner Pruett, Events Coordinator
Lauren is a graduate of Flagler College with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Lauren is the lead coordinator for the Founder’s Day Celebration. She also helps students, faculty, and employees navigate the details for planning an event on campus. Lauren has previously specialized in the wedding industry in St. Augustine and is the point of contact for hosting your rehearsal dinner, ceremony, or reception on campus! She is excited to help couples celebrate their special day at any one of Flagler College’s historic and timeless venues.
