Markland is currently home to the offices of development, alumni and college relations and the Forum on Government and Public Policy.
It was built in 1839. The 14-room house’s Classic Revival appearance comes from a major addition made between 1899 and 1901. The college has restored Markland to its 19th century grandeur, and the first floor is used for formal functions and furnished with period pieces. Markland is on the National Register of Historic Places
