Module 4: Finding Articles

This module covers how to use online article indexes, or Online Databases, to identify articles on a subject. Remember that there are also print article indexes available for you to use if you prefer. These indexes are most useful in reseraching older materials.

After completing this module you should be able to:

  • distinguish between popular and scholarly journals
  • choose a database appropriate to your information need
  • use it to identify an article on a topic
  • use a database's email function to send the info you have found to yourself
  • search the Library catalog to locate the periodical that contains your article
