New JSTOR database added

The Library has added a new JSTOR database component to our collection of electronic resources. The new JSTOR database is the Arts & Sciences Complement, which makes it the Library's fourth JSTOR acquisition, in addition to JSTOR Arts & Sciences I, II, and III. For a full listing of journals available through the Arts & Sciences Complement, please see JSTOR's title list on their website. All four JSTOR databases can be accessed from the Library's main database page.

Library hours through the start of spring semester 2008

Regular library hours will resume with the start of spring 2008 classes on January 16. Until that time, the Library will maintain the following schedule:

Monday, Jan. 7 - Friday, Jan. 11: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Saturday, Jan. 12 - Sunday, Jan. 13: Library closed
Monday, Jan. 14 - Tuesday, Jan. 15: 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday, January 16: Regular Library hours resume

New database added: AP Images

Proctor Library has added the database AP Images to its electronic resource collection. From the AP Images website, "AP Images, a division of The Associated Press, is one of the world’s largest collections of historical and contemporary imagery. As an essential source of photographs and graphics for professional image buyers, AP Images strives to meet the needs of today’s global customer through superior image quality, selection and service." Access to this resource may be obtained from the main database page, the Communication database page, or from the General database page.

Library obtains full-text electronic access to the journal Nature

Proctor Library has recently obtained full-text electronic access to the science journal Nature. Library coverage of Nature extends from 1950 up to the present. The staff at Nature is currently working to make all issues of the journal available dating back to 1889, with complete access ready by the end of 2007. This journal may be accessed from the Library's database page or from the full-text electronic journal page.

Return any Florida library book to Proctor Library

Flagler students, staff, and faculty may return books checked out from any library in Florida to the Proctor Library. Proctor Library participates in a statewide library lending program called the Florida Distance Library Learning Initiative (DLLI) that permits state libraries to mail back books to one another. Simply return other Florida library books to Proctor Library and the library staff will see to it that the books are sent back to their home libraries.
