Interlibrary Loan

Request a book or article through Interlibrary Loan

What is Interlibrary Loan?

Through the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service, you can have access to books and articles that are not available at Proctor Library. Once you place a request, the ILL technician will attempt to borrow the item from other libraries and/or arrange for the material to be photocopied. ILL makes most of the holdings of libraries within the United States available to Flagler College students, staff and faculty.

Who may use ILL?

ILL may only be used by students, faculty and staff of Flagler College (both the St. Augustine and Tallahassee campuses).

How do I know if I need to order an ILL?

If you would like help determining whether or not Proctor Library holds the item(s) you need, always feel free to check with a Reference Librarian for assistance. If you are not in the building, you may call 819-6331 or e-mail the library and a reference librarian will contact you. **Please note that audio and visual materials cannot be borrowed through ILL.

How much does it cost to order an ILL?

There is no fee for ordering an ILL. Please be aware, however, that each ILL request costs the Library time in processing and searching, postage, and lending fees. Please use the privilege wisely and only for materials you actually intend to use.
