How to Use Interlibrary Loan

There may be times when you need a book or an article that the Library does not have in its' collection or subscription databases. In this case, you will need to use the Library's service called Interlibrary Loan or ILL. Through ILL, you will likely be able to get the book or article you need from another lending library. And it won't cost you a dime (although there is no fee for ordering an ILL, please use the privilege wisely and only for materials you actually intend to use).

Once you have the title, author, year of publication, etc., information for the book or article that you want, you will need to access the online ILL form from the Library's homepage:

After selecting the Interlibrary Loan link, you will be taken to the Library's main ILL page, which contains the link to the online form as well as an FAQ about our ILL service. Select the link for the online form:

Your next screen will be the online form that you will need to fill out. Please enter all of your contact information first:

And then as much information as you have about the book or article you need:

Lastly, be sure to check the box indicating that you have read the copyright statement:

You will be notified via your contact preference when your item has arrived and is available for pickup at the Library.
