The Library has set up a deal with Google to make a number of our full-text, scholarly resources available by searching the Google Scholar interface. To get started, point your browser toward the Google Scholar homepage at http://scholar.google.com/. If you are already logged into the Flagler College campus network, Google Scholar will be automatically available. If you wish to use Google Scholar from off campus, you must set your preferences to do so (see point 5 below).
1. Enter your keywords into the Google search box:
2. On the results page, scan for titles that have the "Full-Text @ My Library" link. Click on that link to gain access to the full-text through the Library databases:
3. The next screen should resemble the image that follows. Click on the "Article" link to be taken to the full-text:
4. This particular example is from Academic Search Premier. On this screen, just look for a link to the full-text of the article:
5. Off campus users must set Google Scholar preferences to make Proctor Library content available. On the Google Scholar homepage, select the link for "Scholar Preferences":
6. On the next screen, run a search for "Flagler College" and then check in the appropriate box after the search returns its results and then click "Save Preferences":
As always, please see, call (904-819-6331), or email (library@flagler.edu) a Reference Librarian if you need assistance while using any of the Library's resources. We are always happy to help.
