This database is the online version of the 15th edition of the Chicago Manual of Style (CMS). It includes a Q&A, a quick guide to citation, and other writing, proofreading, and citation tools. This guide provides an overview of its use.
1. Begin at the Library homepage and select the link for "Articles & Databases":
2. From the alphabetical list of databases, select the link for the Chicago Manual of Style:
3. The following screenshot shows the opening page for the online version of the CMS. Use the circled link to access the text of the CMS:
4. The Table of Contents wil appear on the next screen. Simply click on the chapter title, for example, "Punctuation", to access that section of the Manual:
5. Then click on the link for a more specific section, depending on what you are looking for:
6. The CMS Online also maintains a section comprised of different questions and answers submitted by users regarding the use of Chicago style:
7. The "Tools" section is where the link is located to view citation examples:
