Kyle Larson joined Flagler College Athletics in August of 2012 as the sports information assistant. Larson also serves as the multimedia specialist and broadcaster for the Saints. He assists in managing content through flaglerathletics.com, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. He is responsible for all multimedia content on Flagler’s YouTube page and FlaglerAthletics.com, including live game broadcasts, interviews and features. He also helped cover the Peach Belt Conference basketball, volleyball and softball championships.
Larson served as the solo broadcaster for the 2013 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field championships in Pueblo, Colo. during May of 2013. The three-day event was broadcast from the campus of Colorado State University-Pueblo from May 23-25.
Larson worked for 810 WHB in Kansas City calling high school sports before coming to Flagler. He broadcast football, basketball and soccer. Larson served as the voice of the “Olathe Game of the Week” during the football season.
Larson worked as an operations and broadcast intern assisting pregame and game-time setup and operations for the MLS team Sporting Kansas City during the summer of 2012. He also assisted with the 2012 MLB All-Star game in Kansas City.
Larson earned his bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Kansas in 2011. During his time at Kansas, he worked in the sports information office and interned with the IMG Jayhawk Radio Network. Larson also served as the public address announcer for the Jayhawk swimming and diving team.
