David Green begins his first year as an associate athletic trainer at Flagler. He will cover the men's soccer and baseball teams.
Green makes the relatively short trip east from Gainesville where he served the past two seasons as an athletic trainer intern at the University of Florida. He was responsible for covering baseball last year and men’s tennis in 2011-12. Green also assisted with men’s and women’s basketball and softball teams. He served as the host trainer for basketball games and helped cover practices and workouts. Green was the host athletic trainer for the 2012 NCAA Gainesville Regional and Super Regional. Green also served as a clinical preceptor for the Athletic Training Education Program.
Prior to his time at Florida, he spent two years as a graduate assistant at the University of South Carolina. Green served as athletic trainer for the men’s and women’s track & field teams in 2010-11 and served in the same capacity for the men’s and women’s golf teams in 2009-10. He was the host trainer for the 2010 NCAA Columbia baseball regional and the 2010 Southeastern Conference Cross Country Championship. Green also served as a clinical preceptor for the Athletic Training Education Program.
Green earned his bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau in 2008. He earned his master’s in physical education with an emphasis in athletic training from South Carolina in 2011. Green is board certified (2009) and is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.
