Hours & Location

Health Services keeps track of student health records along with providing nursing care.  The Health Services office is located in the southwest side of the Ponce Breezeway.  The nursing staff is on campus Monday through Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There is also a Physician on campus Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Students see the doctor on a first come first serve basis.

Health Insurance

The College offers a group student health insurance plan at a reasonable cost. The charge for insurance for the 2011–2012 academic year is $350 for the basic plan or $490 for the increased Catastrophic Cap to $50,000 plan. If you are enrolling in the plan for the spring semester only, the basic plan is the only option available. The cost for the one semester, basic coverage plan is $250. All students who are US citizens are required to purchase the health insurance unless the student waives insurance coverage, stating that the student is adequately protected by other policies. All students who are not US citizens are required to purchase the insurance, and are not allowed to waive the coverage, even if they are insured via another policy. Immunizations

Effective January 2003, residential students need to either be immunized for Meningitis or sign a waiver acknowledging the risk but refusing the immunization.

Students are required to have certain immunizations see the Student Handbook in order to attend Flagler College. If you are a first time boarding studnet all forms are due within three weeks of being admitted to the College.

Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)

Flagler College has automated external defibrillators (AEDs) throughout campus. In a medical emergency, these devices can be used to diagnose and treat potentially life-threatening conditions related to cardiac arrest. Instructions for their use are included in many first aid and CPR classes, and the exact locations of all the AEDs on campus are listed below.
