Once an exclusive and opulent playground for the world’s most privileged elite, the grounds of Flagler College today offer one of the most unique, most charming wedding and banquet facilities in the Southeast. The venues versatility and elegance make them an ideal site for wedding receptions, galas, parties, and dinners.
A steward of history and tradition, Flagler College has invested nearly $60 million to preserve our historic buildings. By holding your event at one of these venues, you will be supporting these efforts, as all wedding and special event rental fees go to Flagler College’s historic preservation fund.
Highlighting the architectural heritage of the former Hotel Ponce de Leon, the Ponce de Leon Ballroom is considered one of the finest examples of Spanish Renaissance architecture. The ballroom is surrounded by Tiffany stained glass windows, murals by George W. Maynard and lavishly carved wooden columns.
This spectacular room is the largest of the three venues and has a high arching ceiling and hardwood floors. There is a kitchen area with a private entrance for caterers.
The 8,990 square-foot facility serves as a cocktail reception area for 400 guests and a dining salon for 300.
Originally built amidst an orange grove, Markland House is a spacious and refined estate home with all the charm of the Old South. Upon walking through the picket fence and up the front garden you meet a wrap-around porch surrounded by Greek revival style columns. This beautiful house is on the National Register of Historic Places and offers four beautifully furnished rooms perfect for any occasion.
The Crisp-Ellert Art Museum, as it stands today, is Joann Crisp-Ellert’s expanded former studio. The space is used to exhibit important cultural and historical exhibitions, as well as the work of national and international contemporary artists in order to expand student’s educational resources through interaction with working artists in today’s art world. This two room venue has beautiful tiled floors, wood beam cathedral ceilings and an outdoor garden perfect for a small cocktail reception.

The newly restored Solarium offers one of the best views of historic downtown St. Augustine. The doomed, sunlight main room overlooks the Courtyard as the Terraces offer views of Memorial Presbyterian Church, the town plaza, the Cathedral Basilica, the beaches, and the lighthouse.
