Room & Board

Residence Hall Policy

All new freshmen must reside on campus, unless they live at home with their parents or are older than 20 years of age.

Transfer students who have completed less than 24 semester hours of credit also are required to live on campus.

For returning students, housing is assigned on a first-come, first-served contract basis, regardless of the student's year in college.

For students who enroll for the fall term, housing contracts are for the full academic year; thus, the student is responsible for the yearly room and board charges, as specified below. Exceptions to this policy are students who will complete their degree requirements at the end of the fall semester; students who are participating in internships outside the northeast Florida area; students who are participating in approved study abroad programs; students who are dismissed from the College for academic reasons; or students who choose not to return to the College for the spring semester.

Students entering Flagler in January will contract for housing for the spring term only.

Residence Hall cost 2005-2006
per semester = $1,065
per year = $2,130

Meal Plan Policy
All students who reside on campus are required to be on the full meal plan. Students who do not reside on campus may also be on the full meal plan by payment of $1,530 per semester; they may purchase partial meal plans directly from the food service contractor; or they may purchase individual meals in the dining hall.

Full meal plan cost 2005-2006
Boarding and non-boarding students per semester pay $1,530 or $3,060 per year: $15.30 per day for three meals, six days a week - Monday through Friday and Sunday (Sunday's meals are a continental breakfast, brunch and dinner), and two meals (brunch and dinner) on Saturday, and $75 worth of free food from Molly's.

The full meal plan includes access to salad bar, sandwich bar, ice cream bar, cereal bar plus the hot-food line and beverage bar, "all you can eat." Students who have a class or work schedule that doesn't permit them to eat during the posted dining hall meal hours can request a boxed meal, which usually consists of a sandwich, piece of fruit, beverage and cookies for lunch and dinner meals, or a bagel or croissant instead of the sandwich for breakfast. Students also can go to Molly's and use their "free food" credit for anything on the Molly's menu (sandwiches, sodas, etc.)

Declining Debit Card plan
Non-boarding students may purchase a declining debit card account directly from the food service contractor in $100 increments, which is coded to the student ID card. This balance can be spent for meals in the Dining Hall or in Molly's.
