Professional Profile:

Professor Young graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in History from Brigham Young University, and he holds graduate degrees from the University of Oxford and the University of Notre Dame. He is a Ph.D. candidate in Medieval Studies at the University of Notre Dame, where his Doctoral dissertation focuses on the monasteries of Germany as a locus point for both Jewish-Christian interaction and the transmission of ideas about Jews. Professor Young’s research interests lie in the cultural and religious history of the Middle Ages, with particular emphasis on Jewish-Christian relations, ecclesiastical politics, and religious communities.
