WANT TO BE A CHEERLEADER?
Thank you for your interest in the Flagler Cheerleading Program. Our squad is striving for excellence every year with this year being no exception. Our cheerleaders will be expected to cheer at all home men's and women's basketball games as well as attend certain school functions and community events. We will not travel to away games with the exception of the men's basketball game at Embry-Riddle University in Daytona. You will be asked to sign a commitment contract and participate in fundraising activities.
Skill Requirements at Try-outs:
- Cheer (taught at training session)
- Dance (taught at training session)
- Fight Song (taught at training session)
- Toe Touch
- Tumbling (some lee-way will be given as this is the first year that tumbling is required)
- Stunting
Other items that will be considered:
There is no set limit for the number of cheerleaders chosen for the team. Number will be based on talent.
Financial Responsibilities:
Each member of FC cheerleading is responsible for the purchase of:
- Shoes
- Briefs (females only)
- Bodysuit (females only)
- Shorts
- T-shirt
- Socks (females only)
- Hair ribbon (females only)
The price for these items will be no more than $100.00. Items must be paid for before the beginning of the first game.
The FC Cheerleading application is attached. This application must be filled out and returned before the training sessions.
