Walter Shinn has been coaching for 22 years and has had 21 winning seasons. He has coached the women's Team through five consecutive National Championships (1986-1990). Shinn has received several awards, including the PENN NAIA Coach of the Year and the ITA Wilson Coach of the Year. He has also been National Coach of the Year six times. Shinn has been a certified tennis professional with U.S.P.T.A. for 19 years.He became men's coach in the middle of the 1991-92 season.
