Embry-Riddle

On Jan. 26, 2005, the Saints played away
against their archrival Embry-Riddle and
won 82-77.
During the game
senior forward Robby Rayes tore his ACL
and was lost for the season. “Losing
Robby is a blow to the team. Robby is a tremendous
leader on the team and one of the most active
players we half,” Coach Bo Clark said.
It was loud and
energetic in the gym because of the 1,653
fans who attended this game. The
first half was really close when the Saints
only led the game 32-31 at half-time.
Carlton Summers
led the Saints' scoring with 26 points. Darrell
Freeman had 19 points, and Chris Crumpler
finished with 15 points. Rafael Peixoto had
11 rebounds in the game.
“It was
a great road win for us, the team played
great defense after half time and the seniors
really stepped up. It is always tough to
beat Embry-Riddle at their place,” Clark
said.
The Saints are ranked 12th nationally with
a 15-5 overall record and 3-1 in conference.
