Dave Barnett's First City Baseball Camps 2005

The First City Baseball Camp provides the highest quality instruction and experience possible in the game of baseball through its two camps: Little League Day Camp and High School Hitting Combine & Recruiting Seminar. We accomplish this through the use of one of the best baseball facilities in the nation and the most-qualified camp personnel available. We strive to ensure that each young person who attends one of these camps leaves with a greater knowledge of the game. Camp goals are to eliminate frustration, enhance self-image, and instill work ethics. For more information about registering for either of the baseball camps, call (904) 797-6432 or 819-6253.

All campers should bring some form of baseball footwear along with their own bats and gloves.

Little League Day Camp, Ages 6-12

Two sessions of this five-day camp:
Session I: May 30 - June 3
Session II: June 6-10

9 a.m. to noon

Cost: $85 each, or both sessions $150

This camp teaches all the fundamentals of the game: hitting, pitching, catching, fielding and base running. It also introduces youngsters to team play.

Campers will be grouped by age to participate in simulated games each day. Campers will learn how to "think" in game situations.

Cold drinks and snacks will be sold at the Concession Stand all week.

Little League Day Campers will receive a free "First City Baseball Camp" T-shirt for participating. Swimsuits will be needed for the Wednesday sliding lesson.

High School Hitting Combine and Recruiting Seminar

Ages 15-18

Cost $75

Offered: June 10 - 11

Time: 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday

The purpose of this two-day combine is to prepare the serious high school player for the proper offensive approach to be successful at the college level. We will introduce the players to the latest and most effective drills used by today's college hitters.

The recruiting seminar will provide information about the recruiting process for all college baseball programs and the academic standards for each level.
