Flagler College vs. Warner Southern College

The Saints traveled to Lake Wales for a three-game series against Warner Southern. This was the first conference play for the Saints.

The Saints (10-6, 0-0 FSC) played well in all three games but lost 3-2 in the first game.

“It was a good game for us since Warner is ranked 8th in the nation,” coach Dave Barnett said.

Mike Krebs pitched eight innings in the first game on Friday, giving up 8 hits and 3 runs and striking out 4.

With pitcher Liam McClay starting, the Saints went on to beat Warner Southern in a close game 6-5 on Saturday. McClay pitched seven innings, giving up 12 hits and 4 runs and striking out 2.

In the third game, it was all about Wes Burgess in the Saints’ 3-0 victory against Warner Southern. Burgess (2-0), pitching seven innings, gave up only 4 hits and 0 runs.
