"Come in with an open mind and look for things that interest you. Even if the subject seems like something you would never even consider. There are always things that you might find interesting, that you might take away from the experience."
Laura Henning, '15

The First Year Experience at Flagler College is designed to jump-start your academic life and create opportunities for success in your personal, professional and community networks.
Signifying the beginning of your academic career, convocation is the first formal event you will attend as a student. An essential part of the FYE, students will get a sense of the academic community and the possibilities that await.
The key component of the First Year Experience, the Learning Communities allow students to select a Cluster that is surrounded by a theme or cultural issue, while satisfying certain General Education and major requirements.
The study of Liberal Arts comes to life in this culmination of the First Year Experience. The Keystone Seminar is taken during the second semester and will enhance your critical thinking and writing abilities.
