Beginning your International Student Application

A student may submit an application any time after the completion of the junior year of high school. It is recommended, however, that students wait until the fall of their senior year before submitting an application. Freshmen and transfers may apply for admission to the fall or spring terms.

Submitting Transcripts & School Reports

It is recommended for international applicants to submit all school reports and transcripts electronically. School Officials can email these documents to the International Admissions Director or use one of the following services below. If the Common Application was used when applying for admission, please submit accompanying documents through the Common Application site.

Test Scores

In addition to meeting the regular admission requirements, all applicants from other countries whose native language is not English must demonstrate proficiency in the English language.  This can be accomplished by submitting any one of the following – SAT, ACT, TOEFL, IELTS, or passing scores in English on the GCE, GCSE, IGCSE, BGCSE, CXC, CSEC, CAPE or IB examinations. Official scores must be submitted with the application for admission. Flagler College does not offer intensive English courses for English as a second language.

Advanced Credits

Flagler College awards advanced standing credit for students who successfully complete these external examination programs: International Baccalaureate (IB), A Levels (Advanced Levels) CAPE(Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Exams), AICE (Cambridge AICE diploma) and AP (Advanced Placement).   If you would like to receive credit from Flagler College for advanced work completed at a secondary school or for university work completed after secondary school, and this work was completed outside of the United States, you must submit a professional credit evaluation.  We recommend using the services of Josef Silny and Associates or WES - World Education Services.

The I-20

Upon admission, international students must demonstrate proof of financial responsibility by submitting payment for the first semester tuition, fees, and, if required to live on campus, room and meals. An I-20 form will be issued only after the student has been admitted as a full-time student and has submitted the required fees and bank statements demonstrating sufficient funds to cover the subsequent term. Flagler College does not provide any financial assistance to international students.

In addition to your application, this form must be completed for admission to Flagler College. The completed form can be emailed, mailed or faxed to (904) 819.6466. The information on this form will be used when issuing your I-20. Please use a valid mailing address and fill out your name as it appears on your Passport.
