The
Pre-Law Program
prepares
qualified
students
for law school
through a
rigorous
program of
course work;
informed
advising
specific
to gaining
admittance
to law school;
LSAT preparation
courses;
field trips,
forums, and
internships;
and WESTLAW,
a computer-assisted
legal research
service available-on-line
in the Proctor
Library.
The program
is designed
to build
an understanding
of the institutions
that develop
law and to
enhance the
student's
ability to
read for
a clear understanding
of content
and relationships,
to reason
logically
and think
critically,
to solve
problems
given specific
factual situations,
to write
and speak
with clarity,
precision,
and style.
Students
complete
internships
at law firms,
public defenders'
offices,
and other
selected
private and
public legal
