Drama majors gain skill in performance, stage technology, scene design, and directing, as well as in the history and literature of the theatre. They have many opportunities to participate in departmental, community, and professional performances which are held in Flagler's 800-seat auditorium, recognized for the quality of its facilities. Graduates are prepared to pursue careers in acting, directing, designing, and/or technical theatre. Those who choose the education/drama curriculum are prepared to teach; the program is recognized by the state of Florida as meeting the standards for teacher certification at the secondary level.
