Students are given the opportunity to study in other countries for a semester or two, with departmental approval. Most recently students have studied in England, Ireland, Greece, and Rome, providing a culturally broadening perspective to their education.
Students have the opportunity to participate in an “in-house” internship through the Directed Study program. This allows select students to work one on one with faculty and guest directors on main stage productions as assistant directors, student designers (set, costume, lighting), choreographers, and other leadership positions in production.
Students are encouraged to participate in internships, especially during summer months, gaining practical experience in professional and educational theatre.
