• Presented her soil and agricultural research to farmers, extension educators, students, professional researchers and the public at a variety of conferences and outreach events.

Professional Profile:

Professor Veenstra escaped the Midwest to obtain her B.S. in Environmental Resource Sciences and M.S. in  Soils and Biogeochemistry at the University of California, Davis, only to return to the Midwest for a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Soil Science at Iowa State University.  She is thrilled to be contributing to Flagler's current curriculum, developing new courses and continuing to try to answer the questions that drive her research: 1) How are humans impacting the natural environment? 2) How are students and the public effectively learning about their environmental impact? and 3) How are they responding to their impact and planning for the future?
