Philosophy
The Philosophy minor affords students an introduction to the problems, methods, and aims of philosophic thinking from its beginnings in ancient Greece down to the Middle Ages.
Program Description
The Philosophy minor is designed to give students a general understanding of the Western philosophic tradition through a focus on the significant figures, movements, and ideas of that tradition. Focus is also placed on some traditions within Eastern schools of thought.
Minor Requirements
Students minoring in philosophy must take PHI 103 and PHI 104, and at least 12 semester hours of credit in philosophy courses above the 100 level, including 3 hours at the 300 level and 3 hours at the 400 level.
