Sport Management

The Sport Management major is intended for those who desire to play a leadership role within the ever-growing world of sports, without necessarily being an athlete. Students in our sport management program have gone on to pursue careers in, event and facility management, professional sports marketing, tournament coordinators and professional team management.

Using Service Learning Projects to Understand the Fitness and Recreation Management Industry

The Recreation and Fitness management course at Flagler College aims to help Sport Management students understand the unique aspects of the recreation industry. Through field trips and service projects students learn to identify and analyze management issues in recreation, focusing on the public sector. The photos below are from a recent project with the St. Johns County Park and Recreation Department.
