Education Minor

Minoring in education will open opportunities for teaching and other careers related to your major field of study. 

Program Description

The education minor will help you understand the legal, social, political, and economic forces that influence and shape educational policies. Additionally, pairing your major with a minor in education will prepare you to take the teacher certification. 

Minor Requirements

Students minoring in education are required to complete 18 credit hours in the following coursework:

EDU 321 General Methods of Instruction 
EDU 355 Tests and Measurements
EDU 357 Classroom Management, School Safety, Professional Ethics and Educational Law
EDU 471 Critical Curriculum Studies
