Communication and Media
“Media” is a fascinating concept—unlike in the days of limited channels (like television, radio, and newspapers) these days media channels can run throughout nearly everything we do. The Internet and social media have changed the playing field, and a student in any major will benefit from a minor in Communication and Media to understand how commerce and culture are affected by this incredible phenomenon.
As a Communication and Media minor, you’ll gain a broad understanding of the news and multimedia career fields, beginning with a general introduction to media and progressing into the ever-changing realm of media law. You’ll also have an opportunity to choose among classes that teach you the principals of writing for news, television, or film.
A total of 24 credit hours is required for the Communication and Media minor.
