When Nicole Del Bene first arrived at Flagler, she had her sights set on heading to law school after earning an undergraduate degree. But life had different plans for Nicole. She majored in business and was encouraged by her advisors to take marketing classes. To her surprise, she found it easy to immerse herself in marketing, and before long she had secured a prestigious internship in New York City, working for a marketing company that promotes films. That position ignited a passion for the film industry, and during her senior year at Flagler, Nicole interned at the 66th Festival de Cannes in Cannes, France. At the festival, she worked as a PR liaison, scheduling press conferences, interviews, and roundtables for 17 films during the festival, many of which were in competition.
She credits her classes at Flagler with preparing her to head for the “big leagues” – working with the most prestigious film festival in the world. “At Flagler, the small classes were perfect for me, and the professors were awesome,” she said. “They were always available when I needed them. I will treasure the memories I made and people I met in college. My years at Flagler were four of the best years of my life.”
Nicole is currently pursuing a career in the entertainment industry in New York City.
