Clubs and Organizations
The Society for Advancement of Management (SAM) is the oldest management society in the world. Its mission is "to provide an opportunity for the members to increase management skills and expertise through participation in programs and services designed to improve the professional quality of their knowledge, performance, and leadership ability." The Flagler College SAM chapter is the only chapter in the history of SAM to have won eight International Management Case Competition Undergraduate Division titles. Inquiries about SAM should be directed to the club's advisor, Paula Holanchock.
Enactus is a worldwide academic organization connecting students and faculty with industry leaders and businesses. The focus of the organization is positively impacting the community through service leadership projects. The Flagler College chapter of Enactus started in 1998 with four students. The first project we created was Flagler’s Legacy, a tour business of our historic campus. In 2004, we won the National Exposition in Kansas City and then represented the United States in the World Cup in Barcelona, Spain, placing First Runner Up in the world. Our connections with the partner companies who sponsor the Enactus organization grow stronger every year. Many of our alumni are currently employed with Enactus partner companies at their corporate headquarters including Unilever, Aflac, Lowes, Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Crossmark, and many more. In 2009, our team won the National Exposition in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and then represented the United States in the World Cup in Berlin, Germany. Since then, we have been chosen as Second Runner Up and First Runner Up against 600+ teams in the United States in 2011 and 2012. In 2013, our team won National Championship. We are committed to working with our community on service leadership projects that enlist our entrepreneurial skills to improve the lives of others.

Sigma Beta Delta
Flagler College has a chapter of Sigma Beta Delta, International Honor Society in Business and Accounting. Membership in this honor society is one of the highest recognitions a business student can achieve at the college. Sigma Beta Delta encourages scholarship and service, and it promotes personal and professional improvement. To be eligible for membership juniors and seniors majoring in Business or Accounting must be in the upper 10 percent of their major and invited to join by the business faculty.
Internships are available to students who qualify and are strongly encouraged by the Department of Business Administration. Practicum work experience allows students to apply theories learned in the classroom to a business experience. The internship course, BUS 481-483, requires a paper, an evaluation by a person in the business community, and periodic meetings with the Internship Director. Inquiries about Internships should be directed to Paula Holanchock.
In April, students were honored for their success in academic research and leadership within their major.
