The Flagler College Art Department offers a diverse course of study designed to thoroughly prepare undergraduate students for professional careers in both Fine Arts and Graphic Design. All art majors must successfully complete a challenging foundations program dedicated to cultivating the critical seeing and thinking skills needed to thrive in our increasingly competitive and sophisticated visual culture.

Fine Arts majors are challenged with a variety of formal and conceptual approaches to art making. In order to graduate each Fine Art major must successfully complete their Senior Fine Arts Portfolio class. This studio course involves creating and exhibiting a final body of work reflecting each individual student’s creative ambition and potential.

Graphic Design majors will have access to the latest technologies as they are challenged to develop their own visual languages in preparation for the market place. In order to graduate each Graphic Design major must successfully pass a formal portfolio review involving a combination of faculty and seasoned professional graphic designers.
