The
Four-Year
Plan requirement
is
an
integral
part
of
the
undergraduate
experience
at
Flagler
College.
The
program
begins
in
the
freshman
year
and
progresses
through
senior
year.
Specific
requirements
must
be
completed
by
freshmen,
sophomores,
juniors
and
seniors.
Students
must
meet
each
requirement
within
the
designated
period
to
complete
their
enrollment
at
Flagler College.
Completion
of
each
phase
of
the
Four-Year
Plan
is
a
requirement
for
graduation.
Freshman
Year: Freshmen
spend
at
least
one
hour
on
a
computer-based
career
exploration
program
known
as
SIGI
(System
of
Interactive
Guidance & Information).
SIGI
enables
students
to
examine
their
career
interests
relative
to
their
major
course
of
study.
It
will
also
provide
specific
information
about
occupations
of
interest
and
will
suggest
steps
students
might
take
to
enter
their
occupation
of
choice. This assessment is provided by appointment and is
located in the Career Resource Room across from the Registrar
on the second floor of Wiley Hall. Go

Sophomore
Year: Sophomores
are
required
to
prepare
a
resume
and
submit
it
to
the
Office
of
Career
Services.
The
sophomore
resume
draft allows
students
to
assess,
early
in
the
college
experience,
their
work-related
skills,
and
it
enables
them
to
identify
areas
they
may
need
to
strengthen
in
order
to
develop
strong
final
senior
resumes. The due date for the resume draft will be announced
at the beginning of each semester. It is submitted via College
E-mail. Go

Junior
Year: Juniors
are
required
to
schedule
a
meeting
with
the
Director
of
Career
Services.
During
the
junior
year,
students
should
begin
focusing
more
clearly
on
their
career
paths.
This
time
spent
with
the Career
Director
affords
students
the
opportunity
to
discuss
their
career
plans,
to
explore
employment/ graduate school opportunities, and to begin
research on prospective employers/ graduate schools. Go

Senior
Year: Seniors
are
required
to
submit
a
professional-grade
resume
to
the
Office
of
Career
Services.
This
document
is
to
be
printed
on
quality
paper
(at
least
20
percent
water-marked
cotton
bond)
and
produced
on
a
laser
printer.
The college resume guidelines must be followed to meet this
requirement. Resume submission to an academic department
does not automatically meet this requirement. With this document
on file, the College can better assist students in their
pursuit of professional employment. The due date for the
resume will be announced at the beginning of each semester.
It is submitted via college E-mail. Go
