Students
majoring in
communication
graduate prepared
for careers
in using the
media to reach
large, diverse
audiences or
publics. They
receive a thorough
background
in broadcasting
and public
relations,
as well as
ethics and
law in mass
communications.
Students then
select a concentration
in either broadcasting
or public relations/journalism.
Students have
interned at
commercial
and public
television
studios in
Jacksonville,
The St. Augustine
Record, Big
Brothers/Big
Sisters, and
advertising
and public
relations firms.
Students may
also work at
the college's
radio station,
WFCF, and on
the college's
newspaper,
The Gargoyle.
