Welcome to Flagler College! I never get tired of saying that.
Over the 13 years I’ve served as president, I’ve welcomed more than 16,000 incoming students to our campus, and it never gets old.
I hope you get to experience Flagler College in person. There’s something magical about walking through the front gates and being surrounded by so much history and beautiful architecture.
But our historic campus is just one aspect that makes Flagler unique. Our coastal location is just five minutes from the pristine Atlantic beaches that first attracted Ponce de León and Henry M. Flagler. We’re proud to call the ancient city of St. Augustine our home and look forward to celebrating its 450th anniversary in 2015.
Today, the nation’s oldest city is still attracting explorers, innovators and entrepreneurs—qualities we look for in our Flagler students. People who are curious, hungry to experience new things and ready to do work that matters. People who seek the personal guidance of accomplished professionals and dedicated faculty members who know their names and share their passion to make a difference.
Many of our alumni often talk about being part of the Flagler Family and feel a deep, personal connection to their alma mater. Flagler students are well-prepared to pursue meaningful careers, to further their education in graduate or professional schools, and to assume positions of leadership in their communities.
I hope that you’ll come to Flagler to explore new possibilities, discover more about yourself and, in the end, plant your own flag.
