Research, Professional and Creative Activity:

Retired after more than 30 years of active duty in the U.S. Army as a Colonel, Field Artillery/Foreign Area Officer (Latin America/Western Europe).  After retirement from the U.S. Army, served as a Senior Intelligence Officer for Latin America at the Defense Intelligence Agency.  M.A. in Latin American Studies from the University of New Mexico; B.A. in History from the University of Minnesota.Assistant Professor of History at the U.S. Air Force Academy; lecturer at the National Intelligence University and Joint Military Attaché School.  Director, Foreign Intelligence for the Army Staff (G-2, Pentagon); Defense/Army Attaché at U.S. embassies in Guatemala, Suriname, Spain, Argentina and Mexico; exchange officer with the Venezuelan Army in Caracas, Venezuela; guest lecturer at the Spanish and Argentine War Colleges.

Teaching and Related Service:
