Professional Profile:

As an Associate Professor, Chris Smith teaches a variety of graphic design courses in the Art & Design Department at Flagler College. He served as Department Chair from 2005-2009. 
    

Education: M.A. in Advertising Design, Syracuse University; B.F.A. in Graphic Design, The University of North Florida

Expertise: Prior to joining Flagler College, Smith served as Creative Director for The Shepherd Agency, where his client roster included CSX Transportation, Acuvue Contact Lenses, Heartguard and Frontline pet pharmaceuticals, Gate Petroleum, Blue Cross Blue Shield, PGA Tour and Shands Hospital. He currently serves a variety of clients including Steinway & Sons and Volvo Club of America. Teaching specialties include environmental, branding and advertising design.

More Information:

   Chris Smith regularly serves as a portfolio reviewer and contributor to organizations such as The American Institute of Graphic Arts and St. Johns County Schools. He recently served as mentor for The One Club Creative Boot Camp at Sapient Nitro Advertising Agency in Miami, FL. Chris also advises Flagler students in conjunction with the American Advertising Federation annual ADDY Award competition, facilitates student service-learning projects with area charities, and offers design services to various organizations, such as Volvo Club of America.
