Research
Dan was born in St. Simons Island, Georgia. He studied Business at Lee-McRae College and Appalachian State University in North Carolina. Before joining Flagler in 1993, he had a 20-year career in commercial broadcasting at over eight radio stations. Dan enjoys working with students and novel writing. He is also a federally licensed Master Falconer specializing in red-tailed hawks and is the Northern Director of the Florida Hawking Fraternity.
At Flagler, Dan is the WFCF Station Manager and Communications & Marketing Division Director. He manages WFCF, a 10,000-watt noncommercial educational FM broadcast radio station and an iHeartRadio station licensed by the Federal Communications Commission. He oversees a staff of over 50 students and community volunteers. Dan is also a specialist in broadcast radio regulatory compliance and an instructor of Radio Workshop and Media Management Practicum at Flagler College.
