Gabe's History-Making Moments

Describe your central passion(s) and how you hope to carry that into your post-grad plans:
I have a strong passion for learning, reading, and using my skills to make a difference in an industry. I plan to work in private equity to gain experience before taking the step of running my own business.

What (or who) helped inspire your passion in this area (or areas)?
My mentor, Chris De Celle, has been an amazing help! His vast knowledge of the space has truly played a crucial role in my understanding of the industry, along with reading countless books on self-development, and financial literacy which have also proved to be highly beneficial.

Briefly tell us the story of one stand-out memory from your time at Flagler that will always make you smile:
One stand-out memory for me was my FlagSHIP trip to Costa Rica. The diverse culture, incredible food, and unique landscapes were truly incredible. I was lucky enough to go with a great group of people and got a chance to experience such a unique cultural experience that I will never forget.

What academic resources, experiences, or mentors proved most valuable throughout your Flagler experience?
All the incredible faculty, staff, and the Community of students/alumni at Flagler College. The Disability Resource Center was also a great resource for taking tests and should 100% be utilized by anyone who meets the criteria!

What is one piece of advice or lesson you learned about the college experience that you wish you could tell your freshman year self?
I would tell myself that the most important thing you will learn is how to calmly manage a large sum of deadlines. Also to embrace change and always keep learning and growing.

Tell us about what you’re up to next! Any cool experiences, professional positions, or unique opportunities you have lined up after graduation?
After graduation I am going to work in N.Y. in the private equity real estate space, which I am extremely excited about. I am certain this will be a transformative learning experience that will teach me vital lessons about running a business.
